HIGHLAND PARK COMMUNITY LAND TRUST
Our Goals for the
Next months
The near-term goals for HPCLT include a variety of work. Take a look at what we have on the drawing boards.

WIN a COMPETITIVE RFP
Apply for and win city of Boston RFPs (requests for proposals) for an open/green space project that will be a collaboration among the stakeholders resulting in MOUs (memoranda of understanding)
BUILD a PARTNERSHIP
Work in partnership with a responsible local developer of E+ and NetZero affordable homes to be built on City-owned vacant land the community designates for such development.
CREATE a NATURAL OPEN AREA
Conclude the successful transfer of the Cedar-Juniper Natural Area from the Trustees of Reservations to HPCLT to become community open space for revitalization use by the neighborhood.

GROW our NUMBERS
Increase to a minimum membership of 300 residents across all categories representing the diversity of Highland Park, as well as members beyond who augment our resources.
CONTINUE our EVENTS
Continue co-sponsoring events with other neighborhood organizations.
OBTAIN GRANTS and LOANS
Increase our financial capacity through grant writing and collaborations with lending institutions.
HIRE an ORGANIZER
Hire a part-time staffer to organize outreach so that all residents of Highland Park understand the HPLCT and the benefits it offers.
CONTINUE our OUTREACH
Keep working with Greater Boston CLT Network to lobby the Commonwealth.
